The Fenton company identified the owner as Steve and described the work as restoring the painted surfaces first, then adding a ceramic coating intended to last five years under the package specified for that motorcycle. The post named 3M and Adam’s Polishes in connection with the job. The company did not announce a new motorcycle department or a new product line. It documented a completed correction-and-coating sequence on a painted motorcycle using the same service categories listed on its website.
MBM Auto Renew’s site describes paint correction as a clear-coat refining process that can address surface-level swirl marks, fine scratches, oxidation, water spots, light etching, and dullness. The same materials state that deeper scratches that go through the clear coat may not be fully removable, and that technicians explain what can be safely corrected and what may remain. Methods are described as improving the finish without thinning or compromising the clear coat. Typical paint correction time on the site is two to eight hours, with heavier multi-stage work taking a full day or longer. The April motorcycle post does not publish a separate time log for the Harley.
Ceramic coating is applied after preparation. The shop’s ceramic coating page describes a clear layer that bonds to paint following inspection, washing, and decontamination, and says professional-grade coatings can last several years, with longevity dependent on maintenance and environmental exposure. That page attributes resistance to ultraviolet rays, oxidation, chemical stains, and environmental contaminants to those coatings, and lists water spots, fading, sun damage, and minor environmental wear among the conditions the product is intended to help guard against.
The April 22 post specified a five-year ceramic coating for the Harley. No independent laboratory study appears on the company website. Durability language remains the shop’s service description, conditioned on preparation, curing, and aftercare such as avoiding harsh chemicals and abrasive brushes. Ceramic coating jobs on the site typically take one to three days.
“The Harley was treated in the same order as any other painted vehicle that comes through the shop,” said Michael Beck, owner of MBM Auto Renew. “The clear coat is inspected and refined where that is safe. The coating goes on after the surface is ready. A five-year package is a stated service term. How long that layer performs still depends on how the motorcycle is washed and stored.”
The April post’s reference to 3M and Adam’s Polishes is the manufacturer naming available from the shop’s own social account for this job. The website service pages do not list those brand names or publish test data from either company. Product performance claims in this release are therefore limited to what MBM Auto Renew has written on its site and in that Facebook post.
The five-year coating term stated for the Harley is not the same as the shop’s quality assurance guarantee. MBM Auto Renew states that all services come with a quality assurance guarantee and that specific warranty terms depend on the service provided. The website does not publish a single term length or a list of exclusions for that shop guarantee. Paint protection film pages describe manufacturer warranties of up to 10 years on film products. Ceramic coating pages do not state a matching manufacturer warranty term. Workmanship coverage and product or package terms are separate.
Paint protection film, paintless dent repair, and window tinting remain part of the shop’s listed services for cars, trucks, and SUVs and were not described as part of the Harley job. Film is presented on the site as impact protection against chips and debris. Coating is presented as a chemical and hydrophobic layer. Combined film and coating work is a common sequence on four-wheel vehicles, not a step listed in the April motorcycle post.
“Correction and coating answer different problems,” Beck said. “The April Harley job is on the record because the motorcycle received both steps in that order. The post does not say every scratch came out, and the site does not say every coating lasts five years without care.”
