SHERIDAN, WY - October 30, 2026 - PRESSADVANTAGE -

Spray Foam Guides has expanded its U.S.-focused building-envelope library to 78 practical guides, each available in English and Spanish, together with five browser-based planning tools. Published from Sheridan, Wyoming, the Nov. 4, 2026 update is intended to help homeowners and small construction professionals define assembly, moisture, safety and documentation issues before selecting insulation.

The library organizes guidance by applications, materials, building science, safety, project planning and installed-foam problems. Roofs, attics, walls, rim joists, crawlspaces, foundations and metal buildings are treated as assemblies whose water, air, vapor, thermal, fire-protection and mechanical conditions must be considered together.

The five planning tools cover assembly scoping, board-foot calculations, project-cost inputs, contractor checklists and a project binder retained in the reader's browser. Tool outputs identify assumptions and unresolved items; they do not inspect a building, approve an assembly, verify a contractor or replace exact product instructions and locally adopted requirements.

“Selecting insulation before mapping the assembly can hide the conditions that determine whether the project is appropriate at all,” said Marc O'neil, press contact at Spray Foam Guides. “The expanded library begins with facts that can be documented and gives readers a place to record what still requires a manufacturer, contractor, designer or local authority.”

Each guide displays its primary sources, source-check date and review status. The publication uses material from agencies and programs including the U.S. Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency and Building America, while stating that technical source review is separate from independent specialist approval and that independent specialist review has not been completed.

The English and Spanish editions are maintained as paired routes, with translation status kept separate from technical review. A translated page does not receive a new source-review status unless the underlying claims have been checked.

An accompanying glossary contains 68 building-envelope and spray foam definitions. Terms can be opened from a guide for a short explanation and followed to the glossary for context, related terms, sources and links to longer material.

The update also extends a structured question pathway across the site. Readers can begin with an application or visible problem, move to the relevant source-backed guide, record project conditions in the planning tools and identify the point at which product documentation or professional review is still needed. Spray Foam Guides and Best Spray Foam are sister publications under common ownership, and the sites disclose that relationship rather than treating a cross-site reference as an independent endorsement. Spray Foam Guides handles assembly decisions, safety, materials and troubleshooting, while Best Spray Foam maintains separate product research; shared evidence is not counted as independent corroboration.
